Book launch - The Lost City of Z, by David Grann, F92

David Grann, F92, will be presenting his new book, The Lost City of Z, at the National Geographic Society as part of the National Geographic Live “Quest for Adventure” lecture series on Tuesday, February 24, at 7:30 pm.

In his new book , Grann investigates the mysterious disappearance of famed British explorer Percy Fawcett who, in 1925, ventured with his twenty-one-year-old son and another companion into the Amazon rainforest in search of an advanced ancient civilization which he named "Z." This is the first major biography written about Fawcett, and it addresses the scientific question of whether or not this El Dorado could have existed.
