President Names Judith Ansley Deputy National Security Advisor for Regional Affairs

On July 19, 2007, the White House announced that President George Bush has named Judith Ansley to be Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy National Security Advisor for Regional Affairs on the National Security Council. Until this appointment, Ms. Ansley has served as Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for European Affairs on the National Security Council. Prior to that position, she served as Staff Director of the Senate Armed Services Committee. Earlier in her career, she served as Minority Staff Director of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and as National Security Advisor to Senator John Warner. Ms. Ansley received her bachelor's degree from Tufts University and her master's degree from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
